Region: Croatia, More specifically on the island of Krk 

Grape: Žlahtina [ʒlah-ti-na] indigenous varietal to the island of Krk

Soil: Karst limestone

Tasting Notes: honeydew, flint, bosc pear, saline and a touch of lactose (last tasted 1/11/2020)

For Fun:  The label boasts a red rose, known as sipun, the wild rose that scatters the hillsides of the island.  The winery is named after this rose.
