Frequently Asked Questions

You're not alone. Bar Diane is tucked off NW 21st Avenue, and the mailing address (2112 NW Irving Street, #105) is not the way to find us. The entrance is on NW 21st Ave between Irving and Hoyt, through the gate next to Eb & Bean. Look for the alley.

The wine list at Bar Diane skews European, with a particular emphasis on French producers and natural winemaking. You'll find a rotating selection of Champagne, pét-nat, orange wines, chilled reds, and everything in between, by the glass and by the bottle. The list changes regularly, so what's on the website is a sample rather than a guarantee. The best way to find out what's pouring is to come in and ask.

Yes. Bar Diane has a full classic cocktail program alongside the wine list. Expect thoughtfully made drinks: a Vieux Carré, an Oaxacan Old Fashioned, a Clover Club, an Espresso Martini, and more. There's also a dedicated no-proof menu for non-drinkers, draft beer, cider, and a full kitchen serving dinner nightly.

Minors are welcome until 7pm. After 7pm, Bar Diane is 21 and over only.

Well-behaved dogs are welcome on the patio. Inside, it's service animals only.

We take allergies and sensitivities seriously. We're a small kitchen with limited real estate, so options may be limited, but we'll do our best to work with you and prevent cross-contamination. Your best move is to mention it to your bartender or server when you come in so we can talk through what's possible.
-
Reservations are available but not required. We hold plenty of space for walk-ins, so you're welcome to take your chances. That said, if you want to guarantee a spot, you can book ahead online.

Yes. Happy hour runs Monday through Saturday, 4pm to 5:30pm and again 9pm to 10pm. Wines by the glass are $2 off, bottles are 20% off, and there's a happy hour food menu with snacks starting at $5.
Sundays have their own thing going: Sparkling Sunday, with discounted sparkling wines and $2 oysters all night, plus $10 off caviar service.
Mondays also have $2 oysters all evening.

Let's talk. We generally consider parties of 7 or more a large group, and larger groups have different needs than a table of two. We want to set your evening up for success. If our space isn't the right fit for your party's size or style, our sister location Négociant has a private backroom that may be a better option. Reach out before you come in: hello@bardiane.com

Bar Diane is on the first floor and is ADA compliant. The entrance and patio are cobblestone, which is worth knowing if that affects your mobility.
